momstown Newmarket-Aurora's Mother's Day Craft
I really wanted the moms to feel special this Mother's Day because they work so hard to keep their families happy and healthy! I decided to surprise them with something that may bring a smile on their faces.
The week prior to Mother's Day, I made 3 signs, with different words and had the children hold them up in front of the camera.

The photos came out awesome! Thank goodness, I had a couple of "mom" helpers who really came through when they noticed me struggling with some of the children who tried to eat the signs and the ones who would not hold them or the ones who would not sit for the photos... it went very well! I took quite a few of each child and tried to select the best photos of the bunch.
The following week, with the help of "mom" we made hand prints!
When they dried, I quickly glued everything together including this cute poem:
I
miss you when we're not together
I'm growing up so fast
See how big I've gotten
Since you saw me last
As I grow, I'll change a lot
The years will fly right by
You'll wonder how I grew so quick
When and where and why
So look upon this handprint
That's hanging on your wall
And memories will come back of me
When I was very small
I'm growing up so fast
See how big I've gotten
Since you saw me last
As I grow, I'll change a lot
The years will fly right by
You'll wonder how I grew so quick
When and where and why
So look upon this handprint
That's hanging on your wall
And memories will come back of me
When I was very small
The moms really enjoyed the craft and were really surprised by the photos!
