This month we discovered "Absorbing Science"
We used plastic cups, water, food colouring, and paper towels. We added water to 2 of the plastic cups. In the first cup, we added a few drops of blue dye to the water, the second we left alone and the third we added a few drops of yellow food colouring to the water and placed them in a row.
Then we rolled paper towels, folded them and dipped one corner in the blue water and the other end into the water cup, and then another the end of the second paper towel into the yellow food colouring and the other side also to the water cup. We observed that each paper towel absorbed the coloured water and together them turned the water cup into a totally different colour. Blue + Yellow = Green.
You can try this at home using different colours and see what they create.
