January's Mom Craft Night

This month our Newmarket and Aurora momstown moms gathered at Amanda's home in Aurora for our monthly craft night.

Using scrapbook paper, old cereal boxes, glue and some imagination, we created these awesome coupon holders that hang on the fridge.

This week we used construction paper, cotton balls, scarves, hats carrot noses and goggle eyes to make these FUN snowmen together.

We added our final touches with pencil crayons for some added colour.

This week we discovered "O" is for Owl!

Our momstown Newmarket-Aurora chapter met at Jennifer's home in Newmarket for our weekly alphabet playgroup FUN.

We cut out the letter "O" and glued on some feet, a face and some goggle eyes too. The children had a great time playing together, reading books and enjoying a nut free snack.

In January we discovered "Winter Wonderland" at our weekly playgroups!

This week, our momstown Newmarket-Aurora children used glitter glue and waxed paper to create sparkly snowflakes.

We took them home and once they dried over night, they just peeled them off for so fun ornaments.

Our lucky momstown Newmarket and Aurora chapter planned another awesome trip to CBC to see The Steven and Chris Show.

We had a great time and momstown Georgina/East Gwillimbury joined us too!

It's very exciting to watch everything live and the gifts are always a bonus!

We are planning to go again in Feb! Start looking for a sitter now!

"M" is for Marshmallow

Mom, momstown, mess, marbles, monkey, mango...MARSHMALLOWS!!!

This week's alphabet playgroup was a YUMMY one. Together, we discovered "M" is for Marshmallow!

Our momstown Newmarket - Aurora children had a great time munching away at craft time, but they did manage to glue some of the marshmallows onto our letter "M's".

We read "Hand Hand, Finger's Thumb, and the ABC book along with our favourite touch and feel flash cards too!

momstown welcome's York Region Living to our Playgroup!

Reporter Heather Garriock from York Region Living and her camera man Jeff, visited our momstown Newmarket-Aurora's weekly playgroup at The Crossland's Church in Newmarket this week.

We sang songs with our musical instruments and had parachute time, then had snack and made some nice snowmen to tie in with our "Winter Wonderland" theme for January.

momstown Discover's the letter "L"

This week's alphabet playgroup focused on the letter "L"

We read "Because I Love You" and "Elmo Loves You" and coloured our letter with crayons and pencil crayons too.

The children had FUN playing with Nicolas' toys and took apart his new train track...sorry! I should have taken a before photo, it was a nice set up.

This week, we gathered at Diane's home for our momstown Christmas Pot Luck Lunch. We all made something to share with the group, always nut free!

We read books (Thanks Dawn!) and sang Christmas songs,

exchanged Christmas cards and had some yummy food too!

This was a nice ending to our Christmas events before our Holidays with our families.

Who loves to use candy and icing to decorate GingerBread men???

momstown Newmarket-Aurora does!!!

This was our last 2011 play group, so we decided to treat the children with a fun gingerbread decorating day at playgroup!

Using nut free gingerbread men, the children used red, green and white icing and YUMMY candy and had FUN together.

The kids had a fun, but I had a hard time trying to take photos of their gingerbread men...they kept eating them!

I did manage to convince a couple to let me take a quick photo.

On Tues December 20th, 2011 momstown Newmarket-Aurora gathered at The Funnery Play Park and Cafe in Newmarket for our Annual Christmas Party!

Thanks to Julia and Angela from The Funnery, our momstown members had a wonderful time!

Santa visited us at 6:30 for photos and to hand out gifts to all the "GOOD" momstown Newmarket-Aurora children!

The children had a wonderful time playing with all their friends at The Funnery, plus we had pizza dinner too!

Everyone went home with gifts, even the little ones who did NOT want to sit on Santa's lap.

momstown's "K" is for Kite!

Our weekly Alphabet playgroup continues with the letter "K".

The momstown Newmarket-Aurora children used to letter "K" to make kites!

We used all different colours of construction paper, and a template for the letter "K", then we cut, glued everything together.

This was a really simple craft for the kids.

We also have some playtime, read some books or do a alphabet activity together too.

With the busy Holiday Season among us, this week we combined our Alphabet Playgroup with our Children's Book Club.

Each month, Scholastic Canada donates books to each of our 16 momstown chapters. December's book was a perfect fit!

It is a wonderful story detailing "a Canadian 12 Days of Christmas" which is sure to make any Canadian smile!

Diane, one of our Newmarket-Aurora momstown moms, was lucky enough to be this month's WINNER and took home a brand new copy! Congrats!

"J" is for...

JELLY BEAN!!!

We discovered the letter "J" this week, and I think it is a new favourite among the children! We used JELLY BEANS in our craft today, but of course, more went in the mouth then on the paper!

Next week, we are looking at the letter "K"

I think I see some Kites in our future!

More momstown N-A reindeer crafts!

Playgroup always starts with free play time, then we have circle time.

We used instruments and sang Christmas songs together before we had snacks and craft time.

This week we made our own personal momstown N-A reindeer ornaments for our Christmas tree!

We glued together Popsicle sticks addes a red pompom for the nose and used ribbons and extras to add the special touch!

momstown's Festive Special

Our momstown Newmarket-Aurora moms gathered at Swiss Chalet in Newmarket for our annual Festive Special!

This year, we decided to host our "Mommy Secret Santa" tonight too!

The food was yummy, and playing the "gift switch" game, where we could "steal" someone elses gift, was so much FUN, we all had a great time!

It's nice to get out with just the moms!

Next week we are hosting our Christmas Party, that one will be just for the children! Santa will be there, and we are ordering pizza for dinner, plus we are holding it at The Funnery Play Park and Cafe in Newmarket, so the children can play together too!

Our LUCKY momstown Newmarket-Aurora moms traveled to the CBC building to attend a filming of The Steven and Chris Holiday show! The 12 of us sat in the front rows and were on camera all the time, and why not, we're a great looking bunch!

We also got a group shot with the handsome couple!

We took home some AWESOME gifts and would like to personally thank Richard for the tickets and the gifts wonderful from Swarovski and OLYMPUS!

December is for "Reindeer" here at momstown Newmarket-Aurora!

This week, at our playgroup, we traced our little hands and used construction paper to make cute reindeer together.

Don't forget, each week we also have playtime, when the children interact with one another, and learn to share and co-operate! Plus, there are always "nut free" snacks and juice to go around.

momstown discovers "I" is for Insects!

Our momstown Newmarket-Aurora alphabet playgroup discovered

"I" is for Insects today!

Using a letter "I" template, we used stamp pads and our little fingers to make tiny insect prints and added arms, legs and antennas to make different looking insects.

We decorated the letter "I" with all different kinds of insects, from sparkly and shiny, to sticky and gluey plus we had fun colouring too.

Next week we are discovering the letter "J" is for Jelly Beans!

momstown visits the Santa Claus Express

This Holiday Season, momstown Newmarket-Aurora visited Tottenham and took a ride on the Santa Claus Express!

The South Simcoe Railway departs daily, with round trips taking approximately 50 minutes, and travels along an old rail line in Tottenham Ontario.

Santa walks through the passenger cars with his elves and visits with each child, who goes home with a candy cane and a smile!

Adam and Jillian had a great time too!

We had a FUN! All that was missing was the Hot Chocolate!

This week at our playgroup our momstown Newmarket - Aurora children (and moms) wrote our letters to Santa!

The children decorated their letters with stickers, crayons and then glued on some special Holiday items for some extra colour!

I hope Sants see's how GOOD we have been this year and I hope he enjoys reading our letters.

The children LOVE checking our Nicolas' toys and Jennifer had awesome snacks for us too!

This week we learned about the letter "G" for Goldfish!

The following week Diane hosted "H" is for Hearts!

The children decorated the letter "H" with heart shapes, stickers and some colouring too.

Diane found chocolate goldfish for us Yum Yum!

This November, our Newmarket - Aurora momstown chapter celebrated the "Wild West"!

We made horses from Foot and arm prints.

We made themed crafts every week at our playgroup!

The children LOVED making the Sheriff Badges the best!

We also had FUN in the gym with an obstacle course using hula hopes, balls, and pylons. The corn popper race was a HIT!!!

This October, momstown Newmarket-Aurora celebrated Halloween together at Zooz Indoor Playground in Aurora!

It was an awesome party, Pizza dinner, loot bags for he children and PLUS we played at Zooz all night!

The children all dressed up, and some of the parents did as well.

I saw an astronaut, Cinderella, a frog and tons of other really cute costumes!

Everyone had a great time!

We read The Very Hungry caterpillar and Chicka chicka boom boom, played a fun word game and made a craft.

“There is no heartbeat. It looks as though IT stopped developing two weeks ago. We will give you something for the pain, induce labour and perform a D&C.”

I sat there, on my tiny emergency room bed, stone faced, one tear slowly rolling down my cheek.

“Do you have any questions?”

I shake my head no. My boyfriend returns to the room. We hug.

The pain was excruciating and the morphine did nothing.

“We are a teaching hospital.” The doctor tells me, and proceeds to check how far dilated I am before they bring me to the OR. He then turns to his 4 interns, “Your turn.” Pointing to me. Not only am I in horrible pain, and broken hearted, but now I have to let each of these interns check me internally too, how devastated I was.

One week later, I booked a flight to Vancouver, and left for 3 months.

The relationship did not last.

Dec 2002

Marty and I meet and fall in love.

Aug 2006

“I am so sorry, your HCG levels are decreasing and there is no heart beat.” You should pass it on your own, if not, come back and see me and we will book another D&C for you.

One week passes.

“We’ll have to book you a D&C.”

Marty, comes with me and stays by my side. We are both heart broken and turn to each other for comfort. The morphine is really doing nothing, so I asked the doctor for another dose. The nurse interjects “she has already had…” the doctor interrupts her, “Give her another; really, isn’t she going through enough.” I over hear her say to the nurse. A few minutes later the nurse returns with another shot…I still feel the horrible pain.

Feb 2007

“I think something is wrong!” I say to my doctor, “I am very worried!”

“Your HCG levels are so high, there is no way there is something wrong. You have an ultrasound booked for next week, take it easy and try to relax; everything is going to be fine.”

Ultrasound Visit

“I think there is something wrong with this machine. Let’s go and try another one.”

I sit up, close my gown and follow the ultrasound tech into another room.

“I think we are just having some bad luck with these machines today, let’s try one more.”

I sit up, once again, close my gown with both hands, and follow this lady into another room, only this time; I already know and start to cry.

She sits there quietly, clicking away and does not say a word. I cry.

“I am sorry Christine.” my doctor says.

“You said I had nothing to worry about this time, my HCG numbers were so high and…”

“You were carrying twins, that is why your levels were so high, but they could not find any heart beat on either one, I am so sorry. Let’s send you for some tests so we can figure this out.”

“I’m so tired, but I can’t sleep

Standing on the edge of something, much to deep

It’s funny how we feel so much, and cannot say a word

We are screaming inside but can’t be heard.”

Weeks later

“We didn’t find anything wrong with either of you. Just keep trying.”

Feb 2008

“Just as we suspected, your levels are not increasing, I am sorry.” Give it a few weeks, if nothing happens we will perform another D&C.”

Two weeks pass.

“Let’s book that for you, you have not passed everything, so we will have to help you out.”

One more time, sitting alone, waiting for them to take out the only thing I have left inside of me. Yes I know it’s not a baby, yes I know keeping it inside of me will make me sick, but it was going to be my future, my life, and you’re taking it away from me again.

Each miscarriage was so painful, each one killed a part of me that I will never get back. They changed me, broke me, made me stronger.

The “support” I received from family and friends was difficult to swallow.

“Lightening doesn’t strike twice.”

“It was meant to be.”

“At least it’s fun trying again.”

The one the hurt the most…from a former friend,

“Suck it up, there are other people in the world that have it worse then you.”

Are you kidding me, that is what you freaks call “support.”

I felt so alone. I cried all the time. I did not go into work, I did not want to leave the house. I read all the books I could find about miscarriage.

The doctors called it “post pardon depression”, they really did not know what to call it.

Marty and I struggled. I asked him to move out, I could not deal with any of this anymore. He moved out that March. We both cried. I was broken hearted, but I needed to fix me in order to help us through this.

I found a psychologist, she helped me grieve and I started to feel human again.

July 2008

Sitting in the emergency room, once again, waiting to hear from the on-call doctor. He enters through the curtain. I can already tell by the look on his face.

“I am so sorry, we could not find a heartbeat.” How many losses have you had?”

“Five”, I choke out, with tears filling my eyes.

Let’s get you in to our ABC clinic here at South Lake and we will figure this out.

Aug 2008

“My name is Dr. Watt. We will figure this out Ms. Mannello. When did you have your last testing done?”

“We will have to repeat all of those and try some new ones.”

“I don’t care, I will do anything.” I say to him, holding on tightly to Marty’s hand.

“We will book you another ultrasound to make sure everything is expelled before we start the tests again.”

Sept 11, 2008

“How are you?”

“I have been better.” I respond to the ultrasound tech’s question.

I sit still waiting for her to finish. She continues with the small talk.

“I will have to do an internal ultrasound. Have you ever had one before?”

“Yes, I have had quite a few. This is my 5th miscarriage.”

“I am so sorry.” I look at her, and smile politely.

She continues to make small talk, but I am really not paying much attention, I only want to go home and curl up in my bed.

She is finished. “Go and put your clothes back on and wait for me to call you.”

I walk back to the tiny change room, put my clothes back on and wait.

It’s been almost 20 minutes now, and I am starting to think that she forgot me there.

She finally returns.

“Christine, Dr. Watt is on the phone for you.”

My heart drops. They finally figured out why I keep miscarrying, I think to myself. My head falls to my chest and begin to cry as I follow her to the phone.

“Hello.”

“Hello, is this Christine?”

“Yes.” “Christine Mannello?”

“Yes.” I repeat to Dr. Watt.

“Christine, you are pregnant.”

I burst into tears. “What?!?”

“You are five and a half weeks along and she hears a strong heart beat.”

“Really?!?” I turn to the ultrasound tech, “Really?” I ask her, while listening to the doctor on the phone. I was balling, happy tears.

“It has only been 7 weeks and it was only one time...” “Christine, it only takes one try.”

“I, I.. Know.” I reply choking on my tears.

“Pass by my office on your way home and we will get you on progesterone and blood thinners ASAP. Can you pass by the office Christine?”

Yes, of course, see you soon.” I hung up the phone, hugged the ultrasound tech and asked her again. She said “Yes, I heard and saw a heartbeat.”

“Could I have a picture?” I ask.

“Normally, we are not allowed to this early, but I will make an exception for you.”

Eyes puffy, holding this tiny paper in my hand, I walk into the waiting room, now noisy and full because I was in there for over an hour. I look straight to my mom who was waiting for me wondering while all these other ladies were going in and coming back out before me. My eyes are puffy and full of tears. My mom stands, there is a sudden quietness in the packed waiting room, and all eyes are on me.

I run to my mom, and hug her tightly as a whisper in her ear, “I’m pregnant”

She holds me tighter. “Really?” she asks. I say “Really.”

We both cry.

We speed over to see Dr. Watt and I am so nervous on the drive.

I spent the next 9 months on bed rest. Every time I went to the washroom, I looked for blood, anytime I felt uneasy, they let me go in to hear his heartbeat on the doppler. I was a paranoid freak for the entire pregnancy, but I did not care, as long I could carry him to term, I would have done anything. I went in to see my family doctor and Dr. Watt bi-weekly. The looks from the other pregnant ladies in Dr. Watt’s office were priceless. He does not see any patients until they are more then 26-28 weeks along, and here I was, 7, 9 11 weeks, along, and no tummy to by seen, sitting amongst these clearly pregnant women, but I had the biggest smile on my face.

AJ was born, 7lbs 6 oz., at 36 ½ weeks, in April 2009, the best day of my life.

I will never forget the babes I lost, the pain I endured, the hole in my heart that will never close, but I can say, I survived.

This was the hardest time in my life and I would like to thank everyone who stood by me.

SESSION DETAILS

Your sessions will begin with a phone call or a message to let me know what type of photos you are interested in. Learning about your family is very important to determine the style and setting that will work best for you.

As a mom myself, I know how parents tend to be anxious. But photo sessions need not be stressful. I will come to your home, your favorite park, at a special event or take a walk with you along a downtown sidewalk. My style is to capture your/your child’s personality. If I come to your home, I will ask your children to show me their rooms. I will be walking around to check out the lighting and will most likely ask you to move furniture or decorations around. Because your family is in a surrounding that they are at ease with, the sessions are more enjoyable and I assure you that it will come across the portraits.

My sessions are never rushed. I offer up to two hours of laid back, quality time to honestly capture who you are. Making the children smile would not be an issue because each session is low-key and fun. There will be times when your child may need a break for a hug, a snack or even just a little bit of more time to get comfortable in front of the camera. Your newborn may need some time to get changed, be fed or be cuddled. You need not worry about the downtime because I take pleasure in it and use it to get to know your family even better. And the more I learn about your family, the better it impacts the outcome of the photos.

DIY momstown Craft Night

Our momstown Newmarket and Aurora moms LOVE crafts, so we decided to make coasters this week.

We bought 4x4 tiles, used scrapbooking paper, mod podge and clear coat to finish them off.

There were so many of us interested, we had to post 2 nights on our event calendar to accommodate everyone.

I would like to thank Tamara and Nicole for hosting and for all their work organizing this awesome craft!

Playdate at Elizabeth's home

The children love playing with the other children and checking out their toys is a BONUS! There are no nuts allowed at any of our playgroups, but the snacks are always yummy!

I will be voting today, will you?

I was so frustrated this morning, on the drive home from work, I was listening to 680 news, and a couple "men" actually said there are too busy with work today (understandable) followed by the LEAF tonight, so they are not voting?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!
Don't get me wrong, I love the leafs too, but "for real", What kind of poor excuse is that???

I will admit, when I was younger I did not vote, not because I was lazy, but I was not well informed and felt I could not decide whom to support.

I posted this on our message board this morning and asked our Newmarket and Aurora momstown mom's if they are voting today?

One of our moms posted, "For sure I will vote. I don't think this election is necessary but we (as women) fought so long to vote, I will definitely vote"

Another mom wrote, "We always vote. We take my kids with us to vote, want them to understand that it is important to vote and very normal also".

Thank goodness other's think voting is important!

We read a few books that involved the letter "B", sand "Bingo" along with our ABC song.

We also made butterflies with the letter "B", with construction paper, glue, crayons, googly eyes and bingo dabbers.

The new musical, Henry & Mudge, based on the best selling books by Cynthia Rylant, visits us on Nov. 26 ~ 11 am. Our zoo animal playgroups in September were tons of fun!

Nut free snacks, playtime, and crafts fill our Wednesday morning for our chapter.

Our momstown Newmarket and Aurora children love animals and enjoyed making all our crafts.

This week we made snacks with paper plates, paint and crayons. A bit messy, but everyone had a great time.

Each week we will focus on a new letter of the alphabet, read a book and make a small craft.

This week we focused on the letter "A" and made a "A" for Alligator craft.

More momstown Playgroup FUN!

This week with our focus still in Zoo Animals, so we decided to make Giraffe Hand Puppets!

There was a lot of cutting, but our Newmarket and Aurora momstown moms, don't mind helping out and it was so much FUN!

We took paper bags, covered them with yellow construction paper, and coloured out the arms, spots and hair throught templates. Once finished colouring, we glued everything on the yellow bases as there done!

Our momstown mom's ROCK Canada's WoCanderland!

In August we had a GREAT time with the Children in Snoopy Land, but we missed out on the adult rides at Canada's Wonderland SOOOO, the momstown Newmarket and Aurora moms decided to plan a trip there just for us MOMS!!!

We had an AWESOME time!

We tackled the Behemoth first, and let me tell you, I WAS SCARED!!!

I LOVE roller coasters and had no idea what to expect. I had my hands up as we were going up but as we started to go over the first hill...I held on for my life. I was so scared but it was AWESOME!

By the second and third hills I had my hands back up again, but that first hill was a killer for sure!

We had such a great time, we have another trip planned for October!

Kelloggs Caterpillars!

Here is an FUN recipe from Kelloggs you can try with your children!

Caterpillars

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

50 mL (1/4 cup)	margarine or butter
250 g (1 pkg)	(about 40) regular marshmallows or 5 cups miniature
2 mL (1/2 tsp)	vanilla extract (optional)
1.5 L (6 cups)	Rice Krispies* cereal

Directions

Regular Method

In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
Stir in vanilla. Stir in KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal until well coated. Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan.
Allow mixture to cool slightly. Make caterpillar sections, using small round cookie cutter, cut cereal into circles. Place eight to nine sections next to each other to form the caterpillar. Decorate with icing to make antennae, eyes, feet, and spots on the caterpillar.

Stove Top Method

Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Follow steps 2 and 3 above..

In keeping with good allergy practices, we remind you to be aware of allergens and to check labels on any packaged goods used. This recipe has been tested using Kellogg's* products. Results with other products may vary.

Experts worldwide agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, for kids and adults alike. But unfortunately for parents, some children just don’t see it that way. Whether it’s the taste, or that they’re just not hungry, fussy eaters can be hard to please first thing in the morning. It’s important that kids consume a well-balanced and nutritious meal especially as they go back to school.

Since mornings can be hectic, serving ready-to-eat cereal is a great option for many parents as it’s quick, simple and you can feel confident your kids are getting the important nutrients and the energy they need for the school day ahead. The following are a few tips on how to jazz up your child’s breakfast cereal so they will actually
look forward to fueling up in the morning and hopefully develop a life-long habit.

Back to School Breakfast Tips
for Fussy Eaters

1.Top it Up!
Give them the option of creating their own special recipes with toppings such as sliced bananas, strawberries and blueberries. Let them name it and post the “recipe” on the fridge so they feel as though they‘ve created something special and unique.

2.Let them choose the cereal.Kids will often eat what they have had a say in choosing, so give them an option of a few selections at the grocery store. Some great options include cereals kids love such as Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Mini-Wheats* and Froot Loops* cereals. While each is fun and delicious, they are also low in fat and nutrient dense with many essential vitamins and minerals such iron, B vitamins and zinc.

3.Dress up the table
Serving cereal in colourful or patterned bowls, with a fun spoon and placemat just might do the trick. Your child might make the association between breakfast and play-time if they have visual stimulation that lets their imagination run wild.

4.Join them!
Kids will often mimic what their parents are doing so they feel “grown-up”. So, if everyone at the table is eating the same cereal, including big brothers and sisters, they are more likely to get on board.

momstown at The Beach!

Our Newmarket and Aurora momstown chapter visited De La Salle Beach today!

The weather was beautiful, but the water was a bit chilly! The children didn't seem to mind, but the moms, well they only stuck their feet it.

We packed a lunch and our sand toys and spent the day together trying to use every last day of summer before school begins in a few days.

We were all very sandy when we left, but nothing a little bath couldn't fix!

We are already planning to go back next year, AND we may even try to camp overnight at Sibbald point...if we dare.

Our momstown Trip to Elmvale Zoo

Our Newmarket and Aurora momstown moms had a huge turn out at the Elmvale Jungle Zoo trip today.

We met at the zoo, and had a GREAT time walking around and checking out all the animals.

Wagons and strollers everywhere

We had a chance to pet the miniture goats, but we had to watch our step, and clean off our shoes before we got into our cars...

momstown also got up close and personal with a few other animals.

We had an AWESOME time!

Fisher Price; Little People, Zoo Talkers!

Who loves Fisher Price???

We do!

I grew up loving my Fisher Price toys and felt my son should experience the same happiness.

Throughout his two years, my son has accumulated quite a collection of Fisher Price toys and products, and we will we welcoming many more into our home as the birthdays and holidays pass.

Once again, my LUCKY little man was chosen to test the Fisher Price; Little People, Zoo Talkers toy.

I work full time and operate momstown Newmarket and Aurora, so I don't have much free time, and I found the Fisher Price; Little People, Zoo Talkers toy was a breeze to assemble, 3 tiny screws and everything else simply clicks into place. It took no more then 5 minutes for me to take it out of the box and have it ready for my son to play with...LOVE that!

I had his Zoo Talkers toy ready for my son to play with when he walked in our home from daycare. He walked right over to it and didn't say a word, which for my 2 year old, was pretty impressive. He started to play with the animals, listening to all the FUN sounds and having them go down the slide.

I would have to say, Fisher Price has another BIG SELLER with their Zoo Talker Toy for sure!

Hours of FUN at our home, thanks to Fisher Price, Little People Zoo Talkers which means an easier time for me when I am preparing our dinners.

Got to love Fisher Price! You never disappoint!

Our Newmarket and Aurora momstown children LOVE our trips to Brooks Farm!

They can run around from the huge sand box, to the bouncing ponies, or check out the Pig race and feed the animals too.

Don't forget about the wagon ride and the chip truck!

momstown will be returning for sure this Fall for there Fall Festival.

All our kids playground in Newmarket is where our momstown Newmarket and Aurora chapter meets for our monthly children's book club.

The children play around until its time for snack and books. We also have FUN with a new craft everytime!

momstown has been luck to partner with Scholastic Canada and they sponsor our monthly childrens book club, with book donations for one lucky family every month.

Our Newmarket and Aurora momstown chapter planned a special trip to Canada's Wonderland with our little ones this August.

Despite the clouds and a bit or rain, we had a awesome time!

The children were able to go on plenty of the rides alone, and tons with mom too. Everyone had a wonderful time, and some want to buy a season's pass for next year too!

We have plans to go back this season...but just the momstown moms!
